Chad and partner Jon Artigo have been writing and producing together for over sixteen years since founding Ludicrous Productions. Along with his passion for all aspects of filmmaking, Chad is the award winning animator of Rex & Red and A Vagina for Christmas. In his experiences with many different genres of entertainment, Chad has found his calling as a director. Rutland, USA marks his most ambitious project to date. Shooting the movie in three weeks on location, directing 37 actors, all with full-time jobs or in school, and with a crew of 4 has demonstrated Chad's ability to direct in any situation. |

Upon taking a position as a set artist on the animated series Bit Parts, Andrea began her relationship with Ludicrous Productions. Last spring she produced A Drive Through Time, a road trip documentary about women and friendship, which she is currently editing. Her background in public relations proved helpful while producing Rutland, USA as she obtained all locations and costumes free of charge. In addition to her career as a producer, Andrea's true passion is in her acting, which is showcased in
her comedic portrayal of Sarah Williams, the quirky cable access reporter in Rutland, USA. |

Jon and partner Chad Meserve have been writing and creating projects together since 1989 when they launched Ludicrous Productions in northern California. Jon has co-written 4 features including most recently, Rutland, USA. As a student of improv, Jon wrote the song A Vagina for Christmas while at Improv Olympic in Chicago. Jon has explored all aspects of entertainment including writing, directing, producing, and acting. His typical off beat comedic performance style is subdued in Rutland, USA making his role of Frank his most serious to date. |

Matthew Talesfore was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. While attending local schools he became interested in photography. After volunteering at the local public access station, he became involved in motion pictures. The passion this ignited in him set him on his life's path to become a Director of Photography. This is around the time Matthew, Jon, and Chad collaborated on their first project. It has been over nine years since Matthew first collaborated with Ludicrous Productions. |
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Film from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, Matthew headed to Los Angeles where for the next 6 years he learned the craft of camera work and imagery. Having been a gaffer and camera assistant on over 20 feature length films and dozens of commercials and music videos, he has fully developed his craft.
For the past year and a half Matthew has been in San Francisco exploring special effects and multimedia production. He was very excited about the opportunity to photograph the new Ludicrous Productions feature endeavor and to collaborate with old friends Jon and Chad.
After the one-month shoot in Central Massachusetts, Matthew is very happy with the final product of Rutland, USA. He hopes you enjoy Rutland, USA as much as he enjoyed working on the production. |
